Claire LaPointe (née Bellefleur)
1918-2010
At Hotel-Dieu de Québec, August 7, 2010, Mrs. Claire LaPointe (née Bellefleur) passed away at the age of 92. She was the wife of the late Albéo LaPointe. Born at Saint-Leonard, New Brunswick in 1918, she had been residing at Cap-Rouge, Québec.
Her funeral service was held Friday, August 13th at 11 a.m. from the Saint-Leonard Roman Catholic Church with Father Roland Poitras officiating. The pallbearers were François Houde, Maurice Michaud, Charles Lapointe, Claude Tessier, Roch Lapointe and Roger Bellefleur. Interment was in the Saint-Leonard Cemetery.
She is survived by her children; JoAnne (Michael Cook), Jocelyne (late Fernand Tremblay), Colette (Claude Tessier), Robert (Solange Marcoux), eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was the sister of Constance, Rita, Laurier, Roger and of 9 other deceased brothers and sisters.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Dialysis unit of the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec for their dedication and the excellent care given to her during the past nine years.
We particularly wish to note the excellence of care and personal attention given to our mother by Dr. Linda Côté Brisson and the staff of the palliative care unit of Hôtel-Dieu de Québec. Their professionalism, the degree of humanity and the climate of serenity of the hospital made it possible for our mother to leave this world in calm, dignity and respect while enabling us to be present with her.
