Hermel Vaillancourt

At his residence, August 26, 2010, Mr. Hermel Vaillancourt of Argosy Road, Grand Falls passed away at the age of 58 years.  He was the husband of Rose Mary (Pryor) Vaillancourt.  Born at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes in 1951, he was a son of the late Alfred and Laurette (Rioux) Vaillancourt.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary, his daughter, Natalie Peterson (Robert) of Quispamsis, his son, Tony Vaillancourt of Grand Falls, three grandchildren, Brandon Parent, Véronique M. Vaillancourt and Jonathan M. Vaillancourt, two step-grandchildren, Alex and Ryan Peterson, one brother, Gerald (Claudette) of Grand Falls, three sisters, Aline Desjardins (Jean-Claude) of Grand Falls, Jeannine MacDonald (Alton) of Perth-Andover and Lise Vaillancourt (Jacques Senechal) of Grand Falls, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother, Bertrand and a sister, Nora Vaillancourt.

His funeral service was held Saturday, August 28th at 2 p.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls, with Father Pierre Thibodeau officiating.  The pallbearers were Ricky Desjardins, Germain Vaillancourt, Robert Peterson, Shawn Miller, Troy Williams and Jerry Lajoie.  Interment was in the Assumption Cemetery.

Arrangements were by O'Regan's Funeral Home, Grand Falls.
