Alvine Martin

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, August 30, 2010, Mrs. Alvine Martin of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 84 years.  She was the wife of the late Jean "John" Martin.  Born at Saint-Andre in 1926, she was a daughter of the late Alphonse and Julie (Parent) Levesque.

She is survived by four children, Charlene Boucher (Bill) of Dieppe, Jean-Guy Martin (Charlotte) of Montreal, Gilman Martin (Lise) and Lynn Michaud (Yves) of Grand Falls, six grandchildren, John, Julie, Louis, Michèle, Richard and Andrée, great granddaughter, Makayla, one brother, Guy Levesque (Jeanne) of Drummond, three sisters, Edna Day of Madawaska, Maine, Jeannine Watson of Grand Falls and Madeleine Cote of North Bay, Ontario, several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a grandson, Marc Boucher, one sister, Simone, three brothers, Clovis, Lawrence and Leon Levesque.

Her funeral service was held Thursday, September 2nd at 11 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with Father Frederic Poitras officiating.  The pallbearers were Yves Michaud, Bill Boucher, John Boucher, Richard Michaud, Louis Martin and Robert Levesque.  Interment was in the Assumption Cemetery.
