Léo Bourgoin

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, September 2, 2010, Mr. Léo Bourgoin of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 85 years.  He was married to the former Marie Morin.  Born at Drummond in 1925, he was the youngest and the last surviving child of the late Etienne and Omérine (Lavoie) Bourgoin.

He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Jeanne d'Arc Levesque (Jean-Guy) of Grand Falls, Lily Ouellette (Lloyd) and France Rioux (Jean-Eudes) of Drummond and Lynne Theriault (Yvon) of Grand Falls, seven sons, Candide (Sylvia) of Grand Falls, Yvan (Nicole) of Drummond, Rosaire (Martine) of Leamington, Ontario, Mario (Diane) of Drummond, Marcel of Saint-André, Bernard (Lilianne) of Drummond and Yves (Sylvie) of Grand Falls, daughter-in-law, Laurianne (late Daniel) of Drummond, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by two children, Daniel and Sylvie, and his 14 siblings.

His funeral service was held Monday, September 6th at 4:15 p.m. from the Saint-Michel Roman Catholic Church, Drummond, with Father Frederic Poitras officiating, assisted By Father Alfred Ouellet.  The pallbearers were grandsons, Mike Bourgoin, René Bourgoin, Eric Bourgoin, Lee Bourgoin, Joey Ouellette and Andrew Bourgoin.  Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.

Arrangements were by O'Regan's Funeral Home, Grand Falls.
