After a hard-fought battle with cancer, Andrew passed away in his home with his wife, daughter and close family by his side.
Andrew was determined to defy the odds of beating cancer. He made it his mission to help science advance the cure, was proud of the progress and of what specialists learned from him.
He never allowed the disease to interfere with life during these years. Andrew continued to build relationships, traveled, fished and loved family events.
Andrew’s easy going and comical ways made him charming, fun and comfortable to be around. He met people and made friends easily where ever he went. Andrew cherished time with family. He explored new places with his wife, spent time with his daughter, step-children and two grandchildren, offered silly advice to nieces and nephews, rehashed memories with cousins and valued time with siblings. Andrew’s family ties were strong.
Andrew was happiest in quiet spaces and in nature. His next journey will be just that … filled with peace and tranquility.
Rest well Andrew. Your life will always be memorable, remarkable … hero-like to loved ones left behind.
