Roland Jr. Labonté

At the Saint John Regional Hospital, May 11, 2020, Mr. Roland Labonté Jr. of New Denmark passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 52.  He was married to the former Sherry Cole.  Born at Edmundston in 1968, he was a son of the late Roland Sr. and Marie-Rose (Rossignol) Labonté.

Roland worked for the past 4 years at Strescon Limited.  Before that, he worked in the woods, here and out West.  He also worked many years as a mechanic.

He is survived by his wife Sherry, two sons and one daughter, Bradley Cole-Labonté (Cavelle Porter) of Arthurette, Eric Labonté (Jessica) of Back Lake and Melissa Tatlock (Tyler) of New Denmark, grandchildren: Michael, Grace, Owen, Ryder, Aubree, Vincent, Chloe and Liam, goddaughter, Julie Grant (Daniel), sisters, Lisa (Mark Linder) of South Carolina and Tina (Denis Bedard) of Canterbury and brother Jean-Marc of Bedford Cross Road, nieces, Julie, Kim, Jamie, Heather and Brittney, nephews, Ken, CJ, Brandon and Ryan, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life for Roland will be held at a later date.
