Murray ''Choot'' DeLeavey
1932-2023

At his residence, October 27, 2023, Mr. Murray ''Choot'' DeLeavey of Anfield passed away at the age of 91 years. He was the widower of Annie Goodine who passed away in 2017. Born at Anfield in 1932, he was a son of the late Nick and Wilda (Johnson Tompkins) DeLeavey.
He is survived by three children, Judy DeLeavey of Drummond, Susan Paris (Wayne) of Bouctouche and Jeoffrey DeLeavey (Shirley) of Anfield, grandchildren, Sherri (Gilbert Lagacé) of Drummond, Scott (Carol) Paris of St-Antoine, NB, Glen (Laurie) DeLeavey of Ottawa and Dean (Sydney) DeLeavey of Grand Falls, great grandchildren, Hunter Lagacé, Mathew Paris, Jordyn Paris, Brody Paris, Ivy DeLeavey and Henry DeLeavey, siblings, Leigh DeLeavey (Dorothy) of Tobique Valley Manor, Plaster Rock, Emery DeLeavey (Lucy) of New Denmark, Alvena Goodine (late David) of Crombie Settlement and Donna Francoeur (Rino) of Anfield, as well as nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife Annie and his parents, he was predeceased by infant children, Michael and Barbara, grandson Jamie Paris, brother Wylie DeLeavey (late Betty) and sister Glenna Henry (late Donald).
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Tuesday, October 31st from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, November 1st from 10 to 11 a.m.
His funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 1st at 11 a.m. with Pator Jonah Bruce officiating. Interment will be in the Anfield Community Cemetery.
