At the Edmundston Regional Hospital, April 20, 2020, Mr. Albert Montreuil of Saint-Leonard passed away at the age of 78 years. He was the husband of Yvonne (Dupéré) Montreuil. Born at Riviere-Verte in 1941, he was a son of the late Leonard and Cecile (Jalbert) Montreuil.
Mr. Montreuil was employed by J.D. Irving Ltd. for 50 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd degree of Council 2743 nd 4th degree of the 0622 Assembly.
He is survived by his wife, three children, Louise Page (Marcel) and France Morrow (Peter) of Saint-Leonard and Marc (Lissa) of Quispamsis, NB, three grandchildren, Alexandre Page, Julie-Pier Montreuil and Dominique Montreuil, his brothers and sisters, Nicole Sirois (René "Moe") of Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, Normand "Mousse" (Carole) of Montreal, William "Boune" (Barbara) of Saint John, Roger (Margot) of Hoyt, NB, Thomas "Noir" (Jeannine) of Riviere-Verte, Doris (Yolande) of Saint-Basile, Irma Montreuil, Murielle Beauvais (Michel) and Dora LeBel (late Adjutor) of Montreal, as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister, Lewis (Noella), Lorraine (late Toussaint Lavoie) and Herve "Blanc" (Gaetane).
Funeral services for Mr. Albert Montreuil will be held from the Saint-Leonard Roman Catholic Church with his family and close friends in attendance. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Due to the restrictions imposed by the Dept. of Health, attendees will be contacted by the family.
