Surrounded by her loving family, at her residence, December 15, 2020, Mrs. Marise Cote of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 72 years.  She was the partner of Gerald Lagace.  Born in 1948, she was a daughter of the late Esdras and Bertha (Ouellette) Leclerc of Saint-Andre.

Marise worked as a hairdresser, managed a convenience store and sold contracts for the Combined Insurance Company.  She loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the Grand Falls Golf Club for more than fifty years.

Besides her partner Gerald, she is survived by two children, Luc Cote (Tina Sutherland) of Drummond and Chantal Cote of Moncton, three grandchildren, Julie Cote, Jeremie and Naomie Pelletier, one great granddaughter, Paisley, one sister, Anne Michaud (Gilbert N.) of Saint-Andre, as well as nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by Gerald's family, Marco Lagace (Tania) of Grand-Barachois, Daniel Lagace (Carole) of Saint-Quentin and Jerry Lagace (Monette) of Dieppe, four grandchildren, Alex, Kevin, Mélanie and Lexie.

She was predeceased by sisters, Aline Cote (late Raoul), Odette Poitras (late Morel), her brothers, Louis (Jeannette), Rheo (late Jeannine), Reno (Patricia) and Yvon (late Michele).

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls.

A Liturgy of the Word Celebration will be held at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with her family and close friends in attendance. Interment will be in the St-Georges Parish Cemetery, Grand Falls.  Father Roland Poitras will be the celebrant.

Due to restrictions imposed by the Dept. of Health, attendees will be contacted by the family.

For those who wish, donations to the Foundation of the Friends of the Grand Falls General Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
