Anita Jalbert

At the Edmundston Regional Hospital, December 25, 2020, Mrs. Anita Jalbert of Saint-Leonard passed away at the age of 93 years.  She was the widow of Berthier Jalbert and had been a resident of a Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska Special Care Home.  Born at Caribou, Maine in 1927, she was a daughter of the late Camille and Yvonne (Theriault) Michaud.

She is survived by four children, Pierrette McClamrock, Murielle Jalbert, Gilles Jalbert (Paula) and Ginette Jalbert (partner Edward Good), all of Saint-Leonard, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren plus one on the way, two brothers, Lucien Michaud (Bernice) of Saint-Leonard and Claude Michaud (Marguerite) of Connecticut, three sisters, Lucille Gagné (late Emilien) and Jeannine Gagné (late Honorius) of Grand Falls and Diane Moreau (late Gerald) of Van Buren, Maine, as well as nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by four brothers, Louis, Gilbert, René and André Michaud as well as two infant siblings.  

Resting at O'Regan's Chapel, 83 St-Antoine Street, Saint-Leonard.

Her funeral service will be held from the Saint-Leonard Roman Catholic Church with her family and close friends in attendance.  Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Due to restrictions imposed by the Dept. of Health, attendees will be contacted by the family.
