Wilfred Toner

At the Falls Villa (Grand Falls Manor), March 30, 2021, Mr. Wilfred Toner of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 94 years.  He was the widower of Julie LeBlanc.  Born at Grand Falls in 1926, he was a son of the late Frank and Gertrude (Kilfoil) Toner.

He is survived by his four children, Michael Toner (Lucette da Cunha), Napean, ON, Teresa Michaud (Raymond), Drummond, NB, Hugh Toner (Sandra), Bras d’Or, NS and George Toner, Grand Falls, NB;  grandchildren: Brandon Toner of Bras d’Or, NS, Lauren Toner of Bras d’Or, NS, Marc Cormier, St. Paul, AB, Kenda Cormier, Moncton, NB, Vance Cormier, Drummond, NB; great grandchildren: Alix Ouellette, Gatineau, QC, Hunter Bonenfant, Saint-André, NB, Zahia Bonenfant, Moncton, NB; brothers and sisters, Frederick (late Anita Boudreau) of St-Joseph-de-Kamouraska, Quebec, Brian (Laureen Ouellette) of Grand Falls, Sister Margaret Toner, Scic of Saint John, Clara (late Maurice Ouellette) of Longueuil, Quebec, Marie (Victor Godbout) of Moncton, Conrad (Linda Levesque), Earl (Irma Beaulieu) and Donna (Michelle Boulanger) of Grand Falls, as well as nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Lessa Cormier, sisters and brothers, Jeanne (late Bill Brennan), Mark (late Rita Lang), infant sister Georgina, Thomas ''Timmy'' (Carmelle Durepos) and Claude (late Susan Rideout).

Funeral services will be held from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with his family and close friends in attendance.  Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Due to restrictions imposed by the Dept. of Health, attendees will be contacted by the family.
