Gertrude Laforest

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, September 2, 2005, Mrs. Gertrude Laforest of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 82 years. She was the wife of the late Clarence Laforest. Born at Saint-Andre in 1923, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Helene (Gagnon) Michaud.

She is survived by her son, Gilles (Wanda) and grandson, Richard of Grand Falls, brothers and sisters, Yves Michaud (Lucille), Aurele (late Rita) and Wilfred (Albertine) of Grand Falls, Alfreda Laforest (late Herman) of Grand Falls and Geraldine Mazerolle (late Armand) of Caribou, Maine, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters (brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law), Noé (Rose), Esther Jones (Glen), Romeo (Anna), Alphonse (Anna), Richard (Beatrice) and Claude (Germaine).

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Her funeral will be held Monday, September 5th at 2 p.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls, with interment in the Assumption cemetery. For those who wish, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
