Lina Geneau

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, May 8, 2021, Mrs. Lina Geneau of Grand Falls (Portage) passed away peacefully at the age of 94 years and 11 months.  She was the widow of François Geneau.  Born at Drummond in 1926, she was the last surviving child of the late Frederick and Addée (Parent) Lagacé.

She leaves behind one son and his wife, Armand (Donna Reynolds) of Oklahoma, USA, one half-brother, Joseph (Bernice) Arseneau of Blue Bell, NB as well as nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, four sisters, Marie Grenier (Irving), Anita Albert (Eddie), Rita Geneau (Joseph), Jeanne Geneau (Edgard), three brothers, Paul Lagacé, Claude Lagacé (Elizabeth Geneau), Hubert Lagacé (Marie-Mai Michaud).

Lina was loved by everyone who surrounded her.  She will be greatly missed by her family, nieces, nephews and friends.  Once you knew Lina you could never forget her kindness and her beautiful smile.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Lina in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with Father Gilbert Doddatto officiating.  Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Due to restrictions imposed by the Dept. of Health, attendees will be contacted by the family.

For those who wish, donations to the Foundation of the Friends of the Grand Falls General Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
