Azilda Petit
1933-2022
At the Edmundston Regional Hospital, August 5, 2022, Mrs. Azilda Petit of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 88 years. She was the widow of Clarence Petit. Born at Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska in 1933, she was a daughter of the late Marc and Hélène (Clavette) Devost.
She is survived by two children, Clarence Petit Jr. and Nathalie Petit (Gaëtan Roy) and her daughter-in-law, Marie-Paule Petit (late Daniel) of Grand Falls, six grandchildren, Michel, Vicky, Krystal, Mindy, Jessy and Melysa, seven great grandchildren, Yannick, Jérémy, Chelsea, Meghan, Nathan, Andrew and Nixon, four sisters, Lilianne Bellefleur of Grand Falls, Melvina Godin of Caribou, Maine, Jeanne Godin and Régina ''Coune'' Devost of Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence, her son Daniel, three sisters, Lena Ruest, Alexina Fortin and Angélina Martin, four brothers, Rino, Alcide, Rosaire and Victorie Devost.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 10th at 2 p.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with interment in the parish cemetery.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m.
