Jean Poitras

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, March 8, 2023, Mr. Jean Poitras of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 74. He was the husband of Réjeanne (Rossignol) Poitras. Born at Grand Falls in 1948, he was a son of the late Edouard ''Ti-Wood'' and Gemma (Gagnon) Poitras.

He is survived by his wife Réjeanne, two sons, Paul (Angel) and Pierre (Brooke Demerchant) of Grand Falls, grandsons, Lyam Morin Poitras and Isaiah Morin Brown, sisters and brothers, Francoise Byers (Jim) of Virginia, Clermont (Doris) of Grand Falls, Gilberte Duguay (Michel) of Fredericton, Mario (Brigitte) of Chicago, Illinois, Yolande Burnett (Rick) of Fredericton, Patrick (Jacqueline) of Miramichi, Danielle Cassista (Donald) and Marcelle Poitras of Fredericton, Jane McManus (Paul) and Michelle Deschenes of Saint John, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was predeceased by his parents and by brothers and sisters, Carmel, Bernadette, Marie, Hermel, Joseph and Aurèle

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Wednesday, March 15th from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

His funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 15th at 4 p.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with interment in the parish cemetery.
