Esmay Gauvin
1929-2023

At the Falls Villa (Grand Falls Manor), March 17, 2023, Mrs. Esmay Gauvin passed away at the age of 93 years. She was the widow of Bertin Gauvin. Born at Saint-Leonard in 1929, she was a daughter of the late Edmond and Émilie (Desjardins) Tardif.
Mrs. Gauvin was a member of the ''Mouvement des femmes chrétiennes'' of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes.
She is survived by seven children, Réginald (Gisèle) of Palm Coast, Florida, Clermont (Johanna) of The Netherlands, Murielle Ruest (late Gilles) of Texas City, Texas, Robert (Janice) of Plainville, Connecticut, Harold (Theresa) of Holden, Maine, Daniel (Denise) of Grand Falls and Lynne (Wayne Nadeau) of Drummond, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, one brother, Melvin Tardif (Simone) of Saint-Leonard and one sister, Hilda Dufour (late Gérald Gauvin) (late Gérard Dufour) of Connecticut, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three daughters, Carmelle Gauvin, Guilda Ruest and Ginette Gauvin, two brothers, Edmer (late Jeannette), Gérard (late Edmay), two sisters, Edna Côté (late Hermel) and Anne Jordan (late Albert Cormier) (late Hughie Jordan).
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Friday March 24th from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 25th from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday March 25th at 11 a.m. from the Saint-Georges Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with interment in the Saint-Leonard Cemetery.
