Clarinda Toner
1932-2023
With heavy hearts and appreciation for a life well lived, the family announces the peaceful passing of Clarinda Toner, 90, of Grand Falls (Portage) on March 23, 2023.
Clarinda was wife of 58 years to Owen Toner, who predeceased her in 2014. Born in Pokemouche, NB in 1932, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Claire (Brideau) McGraw.
Clarinda is survived by her children : Florence Robichaud, Peter (Maureen), Sandra (Dan), Daniel (late Hélène), Donald, Ronald, and Leo, as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and brothers and sisters in law.
Besides her parents, Clarinda is predeceased by her daughter Lisa, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A devout Catholic, Clarinda was a member of St. Patrick’s Parish and the CWL. She was a gifted quilter, a lover of music and singing, and an exceptional cook and gardener. She will be deeply missed.
Resting at O’Regan’s Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls where visiting will be from 9:00-10:30 am, Monday, March 27th.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, March 27th at 11 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Church, Grand Falls (Portage).
