George Dubé

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, April 28, 2023, Mr. George Dubé passed away at the age of 80. George was born in 1943 and raised in Grand Falls. He was the husband of Marcelle (Bérubé) Dubé and the son of the late Sydney and Thérèse (Leclerc) Dubé.

George was a man who truly defined what it meant to live on his own terms. He was a successful potato farmer. Between farming and his real passion, flying his Supercub, it seemed you couldn't go anywhere in the province and beyond where you didn't run into someone who knew George Dubé. He enjoyed his coffee buddies in Tim Horton's and missed them these past few months.

George is survived by his devoted wife Marcelle of 58 years, his children, Mike (Pat Harvey) of Grand Falls, Chantal (Scott Ledoux) of Fredericton and Andrew (Mike Beaulieu) of Grand Falls., his beloved grandchildren, Melinda, Kelsey, Ashley, Connor, Amy, Cameron and Emma as well as his four great-grandchildren, Samantha, Ben, Henry and Alena. George also leaves behind his dear siblings; Zita Lee of Tampa, FL, Camille and partner Lynn (Keeley) of Grand Falls, Alfreda Halverson and husband Dick of Plymouth, MA, Lorraine Dubé of Naples, FL, Claude (Judy) of Halifax, NS, Lily Dubé of Halifax, NS, Gilbert Dubé of Buckingham, QC Denise Qvon and husband Don of South Surrey, BC, as well as nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his sisters Isabelle and Pauline and his nephew Daniel and niece Sarah, sister-in-law Rachel and brother-in-law Kevin Kelley.

All who loved George will never forget and will greatly miss him.

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Friday June 9th from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Saturday June 10th from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.

His funeral service will be held Saturday June 10th at 11:00 a.m. from St. Patrick's  Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls Portage with interment in the parish cemetery.
