Maurice Bernier

At the Falls Villa (Grand Falls Manor), May 16, 2023, Mr. Maurice Bernier of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 81. He was the husband of Marie-Ange (Desjardins) Bernier. Born at Grand Falls in 1941, he was a son of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Beaulieu) Bernier.

Carpenter by trade, Mr. Bernier worked several years for School District 32. He was a member and a Past-President of the Grand Falls Richelieu Club.

He is survived by his wife Marie-Ange, also a resident of the Falls Villa, four children: Sylvie (Langis Lagacé) of Amqui, Quebec, Marcel (Diane) and Michel (Josette) of Drummond and Luc (Christine) of Grand Falls, five grandchildren: Denis Lagacé, Éric, Julie, Emelie and Karine Bernier, great grandchildren: Chase, Ariane, Kylee, Tom, Alexandra and Anaève, his brothers and his sister: Gérald (Claudette), Jeanelle (Gérard ''Pitou'' Durepos), Gilles (Nora) and Roland (Noëlla), as well as nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by a grandson, André Lagacé (Marika Fournier of St-Antonin, Quebec).

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Saturday, May 20th from 9 to 11 a.m.

A Liturgy of the Word Celebration will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 20th at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in the Saint-Georges Parish Cemetery, Grand Falls.
