Agathe Powers
1936-2023
At her residence, May 24, 2023, Mrs. Agathe Powers of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 87 years. She was the widow of Stillman Powers. Born at Grand Falls in 1936, she was a daughter of the late Alcide and Yvonne (Theriault) Caron.
Agathe and Stillman Powers were the founders Powers Jewellery in 1959. Agathe was a member of the Grand Falls Daughters of Isabella.
She is survived by six children, Rudy (Linda Geneau) of Grand Falls, Judy Bourgoin (Rodney) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Connie-Rae Powers of Fredericton, Peggy-Ann St-Pierre (Roger) of Madawaska, Maine, Suzy Pelletier (David) of Drummond and Cindy-Lee Powers (Norm Bernard) of Berry Mills, NB, 14 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one brother, Henri Caron (late Malvina) of Montreal, three sisters, Marie-May (late Preston Murchison) of Grand Falls, Jeannine (late Réal Page)(late Raymond Desrosiers) of Saint-André and Wilda (Roger Bernier) of Drummond, sisters-in-law, Ghislaine (late Marius Caron) of Saint-Quentin, Jacinthe (late Emile Caron) of Drummond, brother-in-law, René Dubé (late Marie-Luce) of Kedgwick, as well as nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Stillman, a grandson Joey Bourgoin, four brothers, Victorin, Marius, Emile and Réal (late Doreen), two sisters, Marie-Luce Dubé and Edna Godbout (late Joyime).
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Wednesday, May 31st from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
Daugters of Isabella will meet for prayers Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 31st at 11:00 a.m. from the Saint-Georges Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with interment in the parish cemetery.
