At the Grand Falls General Hospital, September 15, 2023, Mr. Firmen Goodine of New Denmark passed away at the age of 76. He was the widower of Linda Hersey. Born at Bellgrove, NB in 1947, he was a son of the late Victor and Adeline (DeLeavey) Goodine.

At a young age, Firmer began his working career in the woods for his Goodine uncles. Among other jobs, he later worked at Timber Top Trusses in Grand Falls and for many years worked at Tom Kavanaugh & Sons Farm. For the past 18 years, he was a skidder operator for H.E. Forestry. He was also extremely well known for his musical talents.

He is survived by his friend, Diane Robinson, four children, Rexann Eubanks (Luther) of Reno, NV, John (Wendy) of Four Falls, Lily Eccleston (Kevin) of Anderson Road and Ron of New Denmark, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.

Being the last surviving member of his immediate family, he was predeceased by his siblings, Charlene Ouellette (late Conrad), Sherman Goodine (late Helen), Kenny Goodine (Sharon) and Lawrence Goodine (Hazel).

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Tuesday, September 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 20th at 11 a.m. from Trinity Anglican Church in Perth-Andover with Rev. Harold Boomer officiating. Interment will be in St. Alban's Anglican Cemetery in Medford.
