Joanne Parent

At the Edmundston Regional Hospital, October 1, 2023, Mrs. Joanne Parent of Drummond passed away at the age of 74 years. She was the partner of Percy Michaud. Born at Drummond in 1948, she was the daughter of the late Gerard and Annie (Bonenfant) Parent.

Joanne worked several years as a cook at Greco Restaurant in Grand Falls.

She is survived by her partner Percy, four children, Barbara (Philippe Bernier Jr.) of Cold Lake, Alberta, Stéphane Côté (Susie) of Drummond, Mélanie Côté (Richard Dowell) and Patrick Bernier of Grande Prairie, Alberta, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three brothers, Gérald (Lauraine) of Grand Falls, Robert (Thérèse) of Drummond and Aldéo (Joanne) of Saint-André, sister-in-law, France Pilon (late Yvon) of Montreal, as well as nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by an infant son Francis (twin of Mélanie) and brother, Yvon Parent.

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday October 5th at 11 a.m. from the St-Georges Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with interment in the St-Antoine-de-Padoue Cemetery in St-Leonard-Parent.
