Michael Gillespie
1962-2023
Michael Gillespie of Grand Falls (Portage) passed away unexpectedly at work in Riley Brook on October 26, 2023 at the age of 61. Born in Perth-Andover in 1962, he was a son of Norma (Clowes) and the late Marshall Gillespie.
Mike is survived by his two children, Pamela Hayward (John) and Ryan Gillespie (Dan) of Halifax, NS, two granddaughters, Isabella and Emma, his mother Norma Browne of Grand Falls, siblings, Patrick Gillespie (Linda) of Drummond, Janet Gillespie (Cindy) of Miramichi, Nancy Cain (Glen) of Saint John and Eddie Browne (Julie) of Grand Falls, sister-in-law, Pamela Gillespie (late Dana) of Grand Falls, as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Marshall Gillespie, step-father Frank Browne Jr. and brother Dana Gillespie.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Tuesday, October 31st from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
His funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 31st at 11 a.m. from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls (Portage) with Father Gilbert Doddatto officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
