At the Falls Villa, October 31, 2023, Mrs. Irène Glazer of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 85 years. She was the widow of Edgar Glazer. Born at Saint-Quentin in 1938, she was a daughter of the late Edmond and Victoria (Chouinard) Lapointe.
She is survived by six children, Claudette (Murray Giberson) of Arthurette, Pierrette (Mario Martin) of Moncton, Pierre (Sylvie Desjardins) of Saint-André, Thérèse (Paul Rioux) of Drummond, Denise and Linda (Michel Gagnon) of Grand Falls, daughters-in-law, Manon (late Claude) and Lucie (late Yvon) of Grand Falls, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, Edgar's children by his first marriage to Ida Roy: Raymond, Gilberte (André), Yolande, Léopold (Verna), Colette (Aurèle) and Germaine.
She is also survived by her sisters and brothers, Jeannette (late John Hamblin) of Massachusetts, Yvonne (Roger Cormier) of Campbellton, Clémence (late Jean Blaquière) and Donald (Johanne Mallais) of Kedgwick, Gertrude (Rodrigue Robichaud) of Shippagan, Aurèle (Roberte Tremblay) of Edmundston, Bertin (Jocelyne) of New Denmark, Lucien (Linda) of Moncton, Solange (late René Caron) of Montreal, Robert, Gisèle (late George Stiles) and Doris (late Rosaire Laforest) of Grand Falls, sister-in-law, Donia Ratté (late Laurent Lapointe) of Kedgwick, brother-in-law, Edouard Goudreau (late Marguerite) of Hazeldean, as well as nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three children, Claude, Yvon and infant son Roger, Edgar's daughter, Claudette, grandson, Luc Glazer, one brother, Laurent Lapointe and one sister, Marguerite Goudreau.
Her funeral service will be held Friday, November 3rd at 2 p.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with interment in the parish cemetery.
There will not be any visiting hours prior to the funeral service.
