Carmelita Dionne

At the Falls Villa (Grand Falls Manor), November 1, 2023, Mrs. Carmelita Dionne of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 91. She was the widow of Camille Dionne who died in 2007. Born at Grand Falls in 1932, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Sr. and Laura (Coté) Bélanger.

Carm worked alongside her husband doing the bookkeeping and office management for their Sanitation Business in Meriden, Connecticut and later in Grand Falls when they returned to their hometown. She loved sewing and was an passionate petanque player. She also truly enjoyed their trips to Florida for many years.

She is survived by five children, Patricia Roberts (Dave) of Ottawa, Ginette Dionne of Waterloo, Wisconsin, Marcel (Robin) of Perth-Andover, Lynne Waring (John) of Tennessee and Renée Gerstenecker (Tom) of Ottawa, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one brother, Roméo ''Mickey'' Bélanger (Joyce) of Florida, sister-in-law, Odette Bélanger (late Martin) of Grand Falls, as well as nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Camille, son Ronald, sisters and brothers, Lilianne, Nora, Vivan, Adrien, Martin, Lucien, Arthur Jr., Elmer, Joseph, Yvonne and Lucille.

A private interment service will take place in the St-Michel Cemetery in Drummond at a later date.
