Magdolna (Magda) Nemeth
1930-2023
Magda Nemeth of DSL Grand Falls passed away on November 9th, 2023 at the age of 93.
Born in Hungary, June 10th 1930, daughter of Ferenc and Maria Katalin Hatvani.
She survived her husband, Bela Nemeth, born October 22, 1930. Passed December 8th, 2006.
Magda is survived by her 2 children, Zoltan Joseph (Joe) Nemeth and Katalin Etta Scott, as well as her grandchildren Anthony Nemeth, Robert Nemeth and Nicole Nemeth.
Magda and her husband Bela and infant child fled Hungary in 1956 of civil unrest to arrive in Halifax on January 1st 1957. They arrived with no material possessions or language skills. Life began in Canada after traveling to Red Deer Alberta and sponsored by Robert and Tilly Love of Red Deer Alberta. In 1962, Magda and her husband relocated to Toronto, Ontario where they raised their family.
In 2002, they moved to Barrie, Ontario where she lived until February 2023.
She moved in with her son in DSL Grand Falls in April 2023.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of O'Regan's Funeral Home Ltd.
