Roy McLaughlin

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, April 1, 2024, Mr. Roy McLaughlin of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 82 years. He was the widower of Valeria Watson by first marriage and of Vera Jensen Laursen by second marriage. Born at Grand Falls in 1941, he was the eldest son of the late Murray and Pearl (Watson) McLaughlin.

Prior to his retirement, Roy was an employee of the Department of Transportation for several years.

He is survived by three children, Kevin (Shawna) of Ortonville, Darren (Lynn) of Drummond and Paula Gura of Grand Falls, eight grandchildren, Emma, Caroline, Olivia, Andrew, Rebecca, Allyson, Sydney and Lincoln, ten great grandchildren (plus one on the way), Tessa, Theodore, Thatcher, Tucker, Talbot, Aurora, Phoebe, Jace, Violet Jane, Walter and baby on the way, three brothers, Gary (Margaret) of Ortonville, Ronald (Carol) of Perth-Andover and Alan (Nilda) of Grand Falls, sister-in-law, Marion (late Peter) of Calgary, Alberta, as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceased by a brother, Peter.

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Thursday, April 4th from 12 Noon until 1:30 p.m.

His funeral service will be held Thursday, April 4th at 2 p.m. from the Ortonville Baptist Church with interment in the adjoining cemetery at a later date.
