Elphège Plourde

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, April 19, 2024, Mr. Elphège Plourde of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 88 years. He was married to the former Alvine Desjardins. Born at Clair, NB in 1935, he was a son of the late Edouard and Lydia (Lafrance) Plourde.

Mr. Plourde was a career teacher and guidance consellor. He was a member of the ''Société des enseignantes et enseignants retraités francophones du Nouveau-Brunswick, Cercle John-Vallillee''. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree of Council 2331 and 4th Degree of the 0621 Assembly. He was also a former member of the Richelieu Club.

He is survived by his wife Alvine, his son Pierre Plourde (Jennifer Carver) of Scarborough, Ontario, his sister-in-law, Irène (Tardif) Plourde (late Patrick) of Edmonton, Alberta, as well as several nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by all of his brothers and sisters, Patrick, Réginald (late Gema Richard), Fernand, Yvon, Carmen (late Ronald Bérubé), Lorraine Plourde and Doris Plourde, o.m.i.

A Private Liturgy of the Word Celebration will be held at the funeral home with his family in attendance. Interment will be in the St-Michel Cemetery, Drummond at a later date.

The family requests that in lieu of sending flowers, a donation to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
