Roger Devost

At the Edmundston Regional Hospital, May 1, 2024, Mr. Roger Devost of Grand Falls passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. He was married to the former Linda Bertelsen. Born at Kenogami, Quebec in 1942, he was a son of the late Joseph and Irene (Desjardins) Devost.

Mr. Devost was the founder of Devost Refrigeration Ltd. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Grand Falls Fire Dept. from 1963 to 1993. He was also a former member of the U.C.T., Grand Falls Council 854.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Linda. He was the father of David (Line Rioux) of Grand Falls, Susan Devost of Dartmouth, NS and Tommy (Renée Desjardins) of Moncton, Pépère to Sophie and Henrik, brothers and sister, Gilbert (Parise) of Grand Falls, Huguette Michaud (late Fernand) of Grand Falls, Maurice (Antasar) of Saudi Arabia and Red (Francine) of Grand Falls, sisters-in-law, Paulette Devost (late Robert) of Grand Falls and Ginette Couturier of Edmundston, as well as nieces and nephews. He is also survived by sister-in-law Barb and brother-in-law Ken Birkland with whom he shared many great memories at the camp on Salmon River.

He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Devost and a sister, Lisette Goulet (late Raymond).

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Monday, May 6th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. 

A Liturgy of the Word Celebration will be held at the funeral home on Monday May 6th at 4:00 p.m. with interment in the St-Georges Parish Cemetery, Grand Falls.

We are forever grateful to the doctors and nurses and staff of the Edmundston Regional Hospital 4^th Floor Surgery and 3^rd Floor Palliative Care! The care and compassion given to Roger and our family will never be forgotten. A Special Thank You to Dr. Carter Kennedy of Perth-Andover who always took such good care of Roger over the years.
