Louis-Guy Desjardins

At the Edmundston Regional Hospital, June 3, 2024, Mr. Louis-Guy Desjardins of Drummond passed away at the age of 92 years. He was the widower of Azilda Daigle and had been a resident of Manoir Belle Vue of Edmundston the past few years. Born at Drummond in 1932, he was a son of the late Willie S. and Alice (Theriault) Desjardins.

He is survived by five children, Lorraine (Jeff McLaughlin) of Ottawa, Ontario, Denise (Albertin Foulem) of Cabano, Quebec, Jean-Louis (Debbie Paradis) of Saint-Leonard-d'Aston, Quebec, Patricia (James Simoneau) of L'Ange-Gardien, Quebec and Bernard (Ginette Cardinal) of Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix, Quebec, 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, one sister, Rosanne Desjardins of Dieppe, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Azilda, three children, Louise in 2024 (Camille Deschenes), Gilbert in 2003 (Margie Miller) and Rosane in 1965 at three years of age.  He was also predeceased by sisters and brothers, Adelia (late Antoine Richard), Alexandre (late Rita), Simon (late Marthe), Antoine (late Laurette), Rev. Robert Desjardins, c.j.m., Noel (late Aline), Sister Solange, r.h.s.j., Jeannine (Gerald Daigle) and France (Laurier Picard).

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Friday, June 14th from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.

His funeral service will be held Friday June 14th at 4 p.m. from the St-Michel Roman Catholic Church, Drummond with interment in the parish cemetery.
