Bernadette Parent

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, August 11, 2024, Mrs. Bernadette Parent of Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska and formerly of Saint-Leonard passed away at the age of 92 years. Born at Saint-Leonard in 1931, she was a daughter of the late Cyprien and Marguerite (Grondin) Durepos.

She is survived by three children, Daniel Parent (Yvette) of Grand Falls, Huguette Parent (Bruno Allard) of Saint-Gabriel, Quebec and Maurice Parent of Edmundston, four grandhildren, Alain Parent (Venessa) and André Parent (Jasmine) of Grand Falls, Julie Allard (Tom Nepton) of Repentigny, Quebec and Kevin Allard (Audrey Gallipoli) of Joliette, Quebec, eight great grandchildren and one on the way, two sisters and one brother, Andrina Basque (late Romeo) of Moncton, Corine Durepos of Courcelle, Quebec and Jean-Eudes Durepos of Florida, as well as nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Philippe Parent, one sister, Marie-Mai Durepos (Eugene Bray) of Florida and Alban ''Ti-Ben'' Durepos (Brigitte) of Saint-Quentin.

Resting at O'Regan's Chapel, 83 St-Antoine Street, Saint-Leonard with visiting hours on Friday August 16th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

A Liturgy of the Word Celebration will be held at the funeral home on Fridy August 16th at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Saint-Leonard Parish Cemetery.

The family would like to sincerely thank Foyer La Renaissance (Isabelle Nault) and Foyer Ringuette (from 2014 to 2019) and their staff for the excellent care, attention and love she received. Also, their deep gratitude for the exceptional care, professionalism and compassion provided by Dr. Josée Martin and the nursing staff at the Grand Falls General Hospital.
