Cécile Parent

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, December 21, 2024, Mrs. Cécile Parent of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 83 years. Born at Saint-André in 1941, she was a daughter of the late Archille and Irène (Pelletier) Parent.

She is survived by her six children, Robert ''Bob'' Lagacé (Jacqueline Pelletier), Rachel (Len Cyr), Michel Lagacé (Josée Martin), Pierrette (Gilles Laforest), Guildo Lagacé (April Ann Arwood) and Denise Lagacé-Rioux (late Gracien) (partner Jean Maurice Ouellette), all of Grand Falls, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Alphée Parent of Peterborough, ON, Léo Parent (Audrey) of Bracebridge, ON, Solange Freeman (Rob) of Peterborough, ON, Jean-Guy Parent (Debbie) of Peterborough, ON, Isabelle Parent of Pont-Rouge, QC and Paul Parent (late Diane) of Whitby, ON, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers Gérard and Guildor Parent, sister Diane at age 20 months and infant brothers Camille and Alcide.

A committal service will be held in the Spring with interment in the Assumption Parish Cemetery in Grand Falls.

For those who wish, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.

The family would sincerely like to thank the staff at Foyer Amitié of Saint-André,

particularly Brenda, Gaëtane, Diane and Bouchra, Dr. Emilie Beaulieu, Dr. Josée Martin and the

staff of the Grand Falls General Hospital for the excellent care given to our Mom.

kindnesses over the past many years she had the good fortune of having such friends.
