Jean Pinette

At his residence, September 10, 2025, Mr. Jean Pinette of Drummond passed away by accident at the age of 84 years. He was married to the former Cécile L'Italien for 63 years. Born at Drummond in 1941, he was a son of the late Joseph and Baptista (Lagacé) Pinette.

Prior to his retiremenet, Jean had worked for McCain Foods Limited for 30 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree council 6841 and 4th Degree of the 2366 Assembly. He was also a Founder of the local chapter of the St. John Ambulance.

He is survived by his wife Cécile, five children, Linda of the Grand Falls Community Residence, Louise (Carmel Desjardins) of Fredericton, Denise (Paul Desjardins), Jean Jr. (Crystal) and Paul (Suzy) of Drummond, seven grandchildren, Rock (Shanie), Erik, Dylan, Annie, Jeremy, Alex and Cory, three great grandchildren, Katherine, Renesme and Nicolas, his sisters and brothers, Hildor (Marlene) of Fredericton, Carmelle Plourde (Bertrand) of Grand Falls, Noëlla Solomon (late Eugene) of Grand Falls, Claudette Vaillancourt (late Gérald) of Grand Falls, Rita Cyr (Jocelyn) of Saint-André, Diane Pinette of Grand Falls, Roselle St-Amand (Lucien) of Grand Falls, Robert (Susan) of Saint John, Fernande Belzile (Gilles) of St-Joseph-de-Madawaska and Germain (Marielle) of Grand Falls, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by three infant siblings, Anne, Léon and Rosaire Yves.

His funeral service will be held Monday September 15th at 11:00 a.m. from the St-Michel Roman Catholic Church in Drummond with interment in the parish cemetery.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday morning.
