Chester Godreau
1945-2025
At his residence in Edmundston, September 19, 2025, Mr. Chester Godreau of Edmundston and formerly of New Denmark, passed away at the age of 80 years. Born at Halifax, NS in 1945, he was a son of the late Adolphe and Irene (Levesque) Godreau.
Chester had a career in the Canadian Armed Forces.
He is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Gérald Godreau (Isabelle Fournier) of Saint-Hilaire, Richard Godreau (late Hélène Baril) of Masson-Angers, Quebec, Anne Godreau of Vancouver and Diane Bossé (Michel) of Saint-Basile, nieces and nephews, Bert, Spencer, Heidi, Louis, Monique, Derek, Miguel and Denise.
He was predeceased by his parents Adolphe and Irene, two brothers, Bertrand and Rino ''Joe'' Godreau.
His funeral service will be held Saturday, October 11th at 11:00 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Blue Bell with interment in the parish cemetery.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the church on October 11th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
