Rachel Godreau

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, September 23, 2025, Mrs. Rachel Godreau of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 91 years. She was the wife of the late Joseph Michaud by first marriage and of the late Euclide Godreau by second marriage. Born at Grand Falls in 1934, she was a daughter of the late Elie and Yvonne (Laforge) Michaud.

Mrs. Godreau was formerly a member of the Dames d'Acadie and she was also a volunteer at the Falls Villa and the Grand Falls Regional Food Bank.

She is survived by two sons, Yves (Huguette) of Beresford and Louis (Lucille) of Campbellton, three grandchildren, Vanessa, Vincent and Mylène, five brothers, Bertin of Texas, Enoïl of Grand Falls, Rino of Montreal, Maurice (Ann) of Nanaimo, BC and Elie of Grand Falls, sisters-in-law, Eloise (late Guy), Carmen (late Gérald) and Claudine (late Guildor), as well as nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her two husbands, Joseph and Euclide, her son Gilles Michaud, her sisters, Marie-May Lavoie and Rina Bourgoin, her brothers, Guy, Gérard, Gérald and Guildor Michaud, as well as infant siblings, Clovis and Gisèle.

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Saturday September 27th from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, September 27th at 11:00 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with interment in the St-Michel Cemetery of Drummond.
