Marie-Line Bourgoin

1945-2025

Marie-Line Bourgoin

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Marie-Line Bourgoin announces her peaceful passing on November 8th, 2025, surrounded by love at the Edmunston Regional Hospital. She was the widow of Gilles Bourgoin who died in 2011. Born at Drummond in 1945, she was a daughter of the late Gérard and Lauria (Ouellette) Desjardins.

Born and raised on the family potato farm in Drummond, Marie-Line learned early the values of hard work, dedication and family. As the eldest in her family, she naturally took on the role of nurturer and peacekeeper.  She had a special gift for bringing people together and found joy in family gatherings filled with laughter and love which she captured in her many albums.

For over 35 years, she served as an LPN at the Grand Falls General Hospital, where her kindness brought comfort to countless patients and families. Even after retiring, her passion for helping others continued through her foot care services up to her last days.

She had a true zest for life, loved to travel, explore new places, and take on small creative projects.  Her weekly outings with close friends and family were moments she deeply cherished.

Marie-Line will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and her ability to make everyone feel at home.

She is survived by two children, Nathalie Beers (Jared) of Codys, NB and Louis Bourgoin (Renée Morrisey) of Grand Falls, grandson Cody Bourgoin, Jared's children, Brooke and her children, Zuri and Ezra, Whitney (Matt) and her children Nash, Nyah and late Reese. She is also survived by sisters and brothers, Gaëtane Leclair (Rodrigue) of Charlo, Aline Theriault (late Aldo) of Chatham, Ontario, Marcel (Denise) of Cormier Village, NB, Sylvie (David Barry) of Edmonton, AB, Louis-Marie (Cammy) of Red Deer, AB and Reine (Jean Bélanger) of Charlo, as well as nieces and nephews.
