Lynda Godbout
1950-2025
At the Grand Falls General Hospital, November 18, 2025, Mrs. Lynda Godbout of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 75 years. Born at Edmundston in 1950, she was a daughter of the late Bertin and Marie-Anne ''Blanche'' (Cyr) Godbout.
Lynda leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory.
From her first marriage to the late Jean-Eudes Rioux, she is survived by her children: Bertin Rioux (France Levesque) of Grand Falls, Ghislain Rioux (Karen Damboise), and Paulo Rioux of Saint-André. From her second great love, the late Albert "Noir" Guay, she is survived by his children: Albert Guay Jr. (Lynne Léger) of Dieppe and Rachel Guay (Yvon Chiasson) of St-Léolin, NB. Devoted to her legacy, they carry forward the values, strength, and love she instilled in them.
She was blessed with two grandchildren, Chanel and Jessie, as well as three step grand children—Alexandre, Lucy, and Sophie—who brought joy and light into her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Darline Godbout of Grand Falls and Sandra McDonnell ( Dan Farnell) and Elaine of Minden, Ontario, along with many extended family members who will remember her with deep affection.
Lynda was predeceased by her beloved mother, Mary-Anne; her father, Bertin, who tragically lost his life in an agricultural accident, her step father Raymond Mccue and her cherished sisters, Gisele St-Amand and Lisa Murphy.
Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Lynda had countless aunts, uncles nieces and nephews that meant the world to her, along with her little "Pitoune", dog Zoe.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Monday, November 24th from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
Her funeral service will be held Monday November 24th at 11:00 a.m. from the Saint-André Roman Catholic Church with interment in the parish cemetery.

The family would like to thank, Dr. Sylvie Sénéchal, nurse practionioner Marisol Pelletier and auntie EM, Elaine McCue for the care and compassion given to Lynda during her final days.
