Claire Michaud

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, February 1, 2026, Mrs. Claire Michaud of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 96 years. She was the widow of Benoit Michaud. Born at Saint-André in 1929, she was a daughter of the late Aimé and Marguerite (Levesque) Pelletier.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Michaud was a member of the kitchen staff at the Grand Falls General Hospital for several years.

She is survived by four children, Oliva Michaud of Van Buren, Maine, Maurice Michaud (Eileen) of Hamilton, Ontario, Linda Michaud Feger of Clayton, California and Nathalie Schlegel of Lebanon, Tennessee, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two sisters, Odette Desrosiers of Saint-André and Eloise Cheney of Lasalle, Quebec, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Benoit, five sisters, Joan, Azilda, Claudine, Yvette and Antonia, five brothers, Arthur, Condulf, Edouard, Albert and Théo ''Rudy''.

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting on Wednesday July 8th from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.

A Liturgy of the Word Celebration will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 8th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Saint-André Cemetery.
