Gaëtan LaForest

At his residence, May 1, 2026, Mr. Gaëtan LaForest of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 63 years, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was the husband of France (Desjardins) LaForest. Born at Grand Falls in 1962, he was a son of the late Jean-Guy and Cécile (St-Amand) LaForest.

He is survived by his wife France, their two sons, Daniel (Cindy) and Paul (Meggie) of Saint-André, three grandchildren, William, Kaytee and Cedrik, his sisters and brothers, Ginette (Mario) of St-Jacques, Chanel (Francine) of Sherwood Park, AB, Réjean (Marielle), Mario (Brigitte) and Diane Moreau of Grand Falls, Jacques (Chantal) of Alberta, Gilles (Pierrette) of Grand Falls, Linda (Guy) of Montreal and Roger (Marie-Paule) of Sherwood Park, AB, as well as nieces and nephews. He is also survived by France's family, his mother-in-law, Thérèse Desjardins and his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law of the Desjardins family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Cécile and Jean-Guy, a sister, Anne-Marie LaForest, and his father-in-law, Lawrence Desjardins.

A Celebration of Gaëtan's Life  will be held Saturday May 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Grand Falls Golden Age Club, located at 125 Manse Street Grand Falls. All are welcome to join the family.
