Camille St-Amand
1936-2026
At Foyer Notre-Dame Nursing Home of Saint-Leonard, June 2, 2026, Mr. Camille St-Amand of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 89 years. Born at Saint-André in 1936, he was the son of the late David and Cécile (Poitras) St-Amand.
Since 1961, Camille was an Associate member of the Voluntas Dei Institute. He worked in local hospitals after his internship with Dr. Jos Cyr at the Grand Falls Hospital Inc. He was Director of Nursing on the Second Floor of Hotel-Dieu of St. Joseph Hospital in Perth-Andover for more than 20 years. He later cared for the sick in their own homes until his retirement in 1995. He was also a volunteer at the Grand Falls Regional Food Bank.
He is survived by his sister, Rolande Dubay of Portland, Maine. He was an uncle to Léo-James and Monica Dubay.
He is also survived by his Voluntas Dei family where he was an associate member for the past 65 years.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting on Tuesday, June 9th from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
His funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 9th at 3:00 p.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Grand Falls with interment in the parish cemetery.
