Marcel Cyr

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, June 28, 2026, Mr. Marcel Cyr of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 68 years.  Born at Grand Falls in 1958, he was a son of the late Camille and Irma (Levesque) Cyr.

Marcel was retired from NB Power after a long career with the Utility.

He was the husband of Lynne Desjardins and of Clauda Bérubé by first marriage. He is also survived by two brothers, Michel Cyr (Lina) of Grand Falls and Mario Cyr of Saint-Leonard, Lina's daughters, Mélissa and Jessica Corbin, as well as several cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, Irma and Camille, his brother, Maurice Cyr, a niece, Mindy Irma Godin-Cyr.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Cemetery.

Relatives and close friends will be advised by the family of the date in due course.
