Jacques Lavallée

At the Edmundston Regional Hospital, July 4, 2026, Mr. Jacques Lavallée of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 67 years. He was the husband of Norma (Côté) Lavallée. Born at Sorel, Quebec in 1958, he was a son of the late Yvon R. and Marguerite (Rondeau) Lavallée.

Jacques was retired after a 44-year career at McCain Foods Limited.

He is survived by his wife Norma, two sons, Shawn Poitras and Christopher Poitras (Anick Rioux) of Grand Falls, two grandchildren, Mathieu Barriault and Lily Poitras, his sisters and brothers, Suzelle of St. John's, NL, Lucie (Alyre Poitras) of Saint-André, Luc Lavallée (Kristine Michaud) of Berry Mills, NB, Gaëtan Lavallée (Colette Bourque), Michelle Péloquin, Raymond Lavallée and Yves Péloquin (Carolle), all of Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, as well as nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Cécile Michaud (late Yvon), Anne-Marie Dastous (late Roland), Florence ''Ginou'' Bleicher (late Kenneth), Frederick ''Tiboy'' Côté, Linda Cyr (Raymond), Verna Bédard (Jocelyn) and Judy Olmstead (David). 

He was predeceased by his parents, Marguerite and Yvon in 2015, his sister, Judith Lavallée Godreau in 1993 and brother-in-law, Lawrence Côté.

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Thursday, July 9th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

A Liturgy of the Word Celebration will be held Thursday, July 9th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with interment in the St-Georges Parish Cemetery, Grand Falls.
