Gordon Christensen

At his residence, July 14, 2026, Mr. Gordon Christensen of New Denmark passed away at the age of 88 years. He was the husband of Linda (Jensen) Christensen. Born at New Denmark in 1937, he was the last surviving child of the late Lewis and Eleanor (Jensen) Christensen.

Prior to his retirement, Gordon worked several years for the Department of Transportation.

He is survived by his wife Linda, five children, Patty Christensen (partner Cathy) of St. Andrews, NB, Donnie (Barb), Ronnie, David (Tina) and Stephen (Kelly), all of New Denmark, the mother of his children, Yetta Christensen, resident of the Tobique Valley Manor in Plaster Rock, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, two step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Laurel Christensen (late Douglas) of New Denmark, several nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by Linda's family: Kim (Roy) of Alberta, Jack (Jenn) of Weaver, NB, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a grandson, Corey Christensen, Linda's daughter, Cheryl Jensen, brothers Douglas and Delbert Christensen.

Resting at St. Ansgar's Anglican Church in New Denmark with visiting on Monday, July 20th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

His funeral service will be held Monday, July 20th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Ansgar's Anglican Church in New Denmark with Rev. Harold Boomer officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
