Lucille Godbout

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, November 22, 2011, Mrs. Lucille Godbout of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 88 years. She was the wife of the late Ludger Godbout who died in 1993 and had been a resident of Jacinthe's Special Care Home of Grand Falls for the past six years. Born at Saint-Leonard-Parent in 1923, she was a daughter of the late Alphonse and Sophie (Martin) Lebel.

She is survived by three children, Ginette (late Gérard Beaulieu) of Sept-Iles, Quebec, Richard (Martine) of Saint-Leonard-Parent and Jacques of Blainville, Quebec, 14 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one sister, Rita LaForge of Grand Falls, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Marielle (late Fernand Martin), brothers and sisters, Yvonne Lagacé, Alma Goyette, Marthe Poitras, Esther Paquette, Anita Simard, Albertine Gervais, Lauré Martin, Ronald, Albert, Rodolphe, Emilien, Aimé, Alfred, Claude and four infant siblings.

Her funeral service was held Saturday, December 3rd at 11:00 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with Father Pierre Thibodeau officiating, assisted by Father Frederic Poitras. The pallbearers were Marc-André Godbout, Jean-Luc Godbout, Simon-Pierre Godbout, Yannick Godbout, Cédric Desjardins and Charles Martin. Interment was in the Assumption Cemetery.
