Patricia Toner

At the Edmundston Regional Hospital, January 1, 2012, Mrs. Patricia Toner of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 72. She was the wife of Allison Toner. Born at Grand Falls in 1939, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Moran) Charette.

Pat was a teacher in earlier years and prior to retirement, worked several years at the Grand Falls Public Library. She had been President of the local Liberal Association, was organist at St. Patrick's Church, was an active member of a local prayer group and of the Gorge Quilt Guild and was also a member of the Grand Falls Golden Age Club. At one time, she represented Atlantic Canada on the CMHC Board of Directors.

She is survived by her husband, children, Jeffrey (Kathy Winslow) of Oromocto, Patrick (Avril Woods) of Grand Bay, Charles of Coburg, Ontario, Eileen Ogoniek (Ron) of Ottawa, Jane Bourque Grebenc (David) of Quispamsis, Michael Bourque (Lisa Belbeck) of Petawawa, Ontario, grandchildren, Sean, Emily, Zoë, Jacqueline, Andrew, Nicole, Zachary and Daniel, one sister, Ruth Charette (Jason Merritt) of Upper Kingsclear, as well as nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service was held Wednesday, January 4th, 2012, at 11 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with Father Michael Toner officiating, assisted by Father Bill Brennan and Father Gilbert Doddatto. The pallbearers were Jeffrey Toner, Patrick Toner, Charles Toner, Michael Bourque, David Grebenc and Ron Ogoniek. Interment was in the Assumption Cemetery.

Arrangements were by O'Regan's Funeral Home Ltd.
